The Ministry of Environment and Water initiated the process of establishment of a national biodiversity monitoring system (NBMS) in concern with the enforcement of the national and international legislation, including that of the European Union, related to preservation of the biodiversity. The first stage of this process is the development of a framework outlining the main principles, concepts and rules which will make the fundament for the establishment and operation of the NBMS.
